Have you been living your truth?
The concept of Dharma, found in many eastern religions, refers to moral and ethical codes, responsibilities, and laws that govern individual behavior and social order. But wait, there are many parallels in Christian teachings as well (as there often are). Similar to dharma, Christianity emphasizes living a moral life according to the teachings of the bible. So no matter your religious beliefs, we can all agree that following a life of what is one’s true nature, a path of service and in alignment with the divine (god) is one of great value.

Finding your calling can be a deeply personal and transformative journey, let’s explore some ways you can help to discover yours….
The practice of self-reflection can be a powerful way to uncover interests, values and passions that light you up. Allowing time to sit in quiet, meditation, is a sure fire way to let the chatter and dust settle so the wisdom of your soul can speak. Creating a journal of what arises will help you decipher which direction to move towards.
Exploring new or different activities or fields. Perhaps a part-time job or internship could be a fun exploration. Volunteering or giving back to your community is a very fulfilling task that has the capability to align you with your highest self. We are constantly changing so being open to something new may be just what you needed.
Knowing your strengths (and weaknesses) are important to consider when connecting to your truth. We are all so unique, mentally and physically so follow those qualities that you are good at, that you enjoy, then you’ll know you are on the right path.
Don’t be afraid to ask for guidance. Talk to mentors, friends or professionals in areas of interest. We’ve all found different ways to lead us to where we are and asking those that have been walking along with you can be very helpful.
Trust your instincts & listen to your intuition! Often times those gut feelings can help guide you towards what feels right for you. We are wise beings, with all the answers already within us. Sometimes we just need a practice, a person, or perhaps patience to allow the journey towards our true calling to unfold.
Come with us on a retreat as we weave these teachings throughout our days. Giving you practical experiences and insights that will provide valuable perspectives. See all upcoming retreats HERE to see which one speaks to your soul.
